This project reimagines a former department store as a contemporary multifunctional centre, breathing new life into a prominent urban corner. The design preserves the building’s solid architectural presence while introducing a sculpted brick façade with rhythmic arches and expansive glazing, creating a dialogue between heritage and modernity. Active ground-floor uses engage the street, while upper levels accommodate flexible commercial, cultural, and social spaces filled with natural light. Integrated greenery softens the structure and enhances the public realm, transforming the once-inactive site into a vibrant, people-focused destination that contributes meaningfully to the surrounding city fabric.
